A Day in a Life

Let me introduce to you...

No, not Billy Shears, just me, slatts.

I may be in the wrong "neighborhood" here as I'm an 'old Beatles-fan.' I was just 9 years old when the Beatles showed up on my mother's television. Later that year—fully possessed by the disease, jokingly called "beatlemania"—I performed for my cub scout troop's talent show. With a wig I made from my mother's black beret and a corrugated cardboard guitar I made to resemble George Harrison's famous Gretsch, I lip-synced "I Saw Her Standing There" switching positions and playing all four of the Beatles.

Many, many years later—now a musician and an artist—I re-created that 'talent show' role and posed as all four of the Beatles for this portrait.

So, the question: "Do you find the four lads from Liverpool often invading your paintings?" I have to answer, yes.

Hi and welcome! I don't think, or at least I hope, there's a wrong neighborhood for any Beatles fan! You've got a bit of a trump card over a lot of us younger fans...you were actually there for Beatlemania! I think those of us who weren't...wish there was a time machine so we could live it!

Anyway, I really dig your work! I hope to see more, this lil community could use a little kickstart (which I've been thinking on...but coming up short :( ). Feel free to post ideas and anything else related to Beatles artwork!

a wrong neighborhood for any Beatles fan!

Well, that's a welcome sign, Manx...and thank you.

So, to quote a phrase John Lennon made famous before Terminator: "I'll Be Back"
